Summary of the Accomplishments of Producer Edward Bass
The filmmaking industry is not just like any other fields of profession. One should possess incomparable amount of patience, determination, and self-control in order to survive in this business. Of course, exceptional knowledge and skills coupled with a wide sense of creativity in filmmaking are necessary. However, these could be useless without the commitment for excellent performance, regardless of the position in the industry.
Producer Edward Bass is just among the most notable persons in the filmmaking industry. Being a Golden Globe Nominee, he currently holds a record of independently producing five pictures within a period of two years. He has been widely known as an opinionated and optimistic producer, as seen on his successfully produced films, documentaries, and plays. His approach to filmmaking is very different compared to the typical ones used by most modern producers. He has also been praised for his meticulous selection of the script, shooting sets, filmmaking technology to use, actors to portray the most important roles in the story, and other elements of the production.
Prior to his successful career in independent filmmaking, Edward Bass was part of the team behind the stage performances of several notable music personalities. Among these people were the famous Frank Sinatra and Elvis Presley. Eventually, he pursued a career of managing talents who make good names in their own fields. He used to handle promising boxers like Julio Caesar Chavez – the boxer who became the highest priced fighter for the middleweight division in the history of sports. When he started his career as a producer, his first projects were mostly musical plays held in prestigious stages around the US. Two of his most notable musical plays are the “Stardust” with Tony Tenille, and the “Great Moments on Stage” with Nicholas brothers. He was also the producer of the Tony Award winner, the “Hinton Battle”. In addition, he organized several political gatherings, including the presentation of President Gerald Ford of his political partner Stanley Kramer to the public.
At present, Bass is operating his own company, the Edward Bass Films, which banners its name as a first line entertainment company. In this company, he works hand in hand with other filmmaking experts like Bjorn Johnson, George Hamilton, and Matthew Assante. Because of the impressive performance of this company, Bass was awarded in May of 2007 with the Circle of Excellence Award. This company also continues to expand its operations as it employs more skillful talents and staffs.
